Rob Schoos, HB Plant High School's Director of Bands, is a graduate of Florida State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance. Mr. Schoos is the Conductor of the Chamber Winds Ensemble and the Brass Coach for the Patel Conservatory Youth Orchestras. He was formerly the Director of Bands and Orchestras at Rampello K-8 Magnet Partnership School in Downtown Tampa. He maintains a private studio for horn students in Tampa and all his students have attained the level of All-County and Master Musician, as well as held top chairs in many district, state, and national festivals. He is a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, the Florida Orchestra Association, the Music Educators National Conference, and the International Horn Society. He resides in Tampa, FL with his wife, Kate and his golden retriever, Charlie.
